Each month is a fresh start to get things done that you may have been putting off during the past month. I look at the 1st of the month as a reset button where I’m able to get my life together, set some goals, and start new things that I may have been overlooking in the past. I love to stay organized and plan as much as I can so doing simple tasks at the beginning of every month helps me to start on a good note. Here are 3 things that you should do at the beginning of every month!
Write down goals you want to accomplish.
Setting goals are super important and essential to help you grow and reach things that you may have been longing for but have been putting off. Pick some goals that are attainable but also challenging for you so that you have something to strive for every day. Some examples could be drinking more water, becoming more active, or even spending less time on your phone every day.
Check your calendar and create a to-do list.
If you don’t have a planner, I suggest that you invest in one ASAP. It’s important to always know what you have to do in the upcoming weeks such as appointments or meeting that you may have. You should check your calendar at the beginning of every month so that you are aware of any important dates that you need to know of. Also, create a to-do list and try and knock out 3-4 tasks each week. I know a big one for me is cleaning each week and doing laundry! Although those are tasks that you would think to remember to do, sometimes you can get caught up with how busy life is, so having a reminder in your planner to go along with the to-do list can help you to stay on top of things.
Pick a book to read.
At the beginning of 2018, I set a goal to read at least one book every month. Reading is so important and I love being able to dive into a book especially when I’m reading about topics that I love. Make sure that you are always reading and learning more in addition to your everyday life. One book a month is not a huge commitment if you read a little every day!
I had to keep it short and simple because these steps vary depending on you and how you want to approach things during the beginning of each month. Implement these 3 small steps and I guarantee your month will be more planned out and simple to keep up with anything you have going on!
Till next time!
